Physical & Environmental Security
How physical and environmental security is addressed for a remote-first company whose production systems run on Google Cloud Platform.
Last reviewed: July 2026
This page describes how physical and environmental security is addressed at Risely.
Context
Risely is a remote-first company. We do not operate our own data centers, server rooms, or on-premises production infrastructure.
Production infrastructure
All production systems and customer data are hosted on Google Cloud Platform. Physical and environmental security controls for this infrastructure, including physical access control, environmental protections, redundancy, and media disposal, are inherited from Google’s data center operations, which are certified against ISO/IEC 27001 and audited under SOC 2. Google’s compliance documentation is available at cloud.google.com/security/compliance.
Endpoint and workspace measures
Our staff work on company-approved laptops protected in accordance with our Acceptable Usage Policy and Access Control Policy, including screen locking, strong authentication, and up-to-date software. Staff members take reasonable care to prevent unauthorized physical access to their devices.
